*) Tony Godfrey has been involved with contemporary artists and written about art since 1979. His first book in 1986 was about painting, his 1998 book Conceptual Art has remained in print ever since and remains a standard book on the subject. In 1999 after working for Sotheby's Institute in London for twenty years he moved to Singapore. He is currently working on a book on painting in East Asia, an exhibition entitled "What is Conceptual Art" and also exploring the possibility of a research centre for contemporary art in Singapore.
**) The 500,000 IDR admission fee includes a seminar kit that consists of an abridged transcript of the materials presented which will be sent through post or email to each participant. Coffee, tea and snacks provided. For early admissions (up to Monday, 18 October 2010), LAF would be happy to help organize the participant's accommodations if needed.
