TY: So Max, how did you first find yourself to be on this Island of The Gods?
MV: I came for a heavenly one year break and stayed on.
TY: Did you always know you would end up in a salon?
MV: Destiny! Not enough brains to become a doctor.
TY: Where did you learn your trade?
MV: In Europe. Travel, look and learn.
TY: Who most inspired or influenced you when you were starting out - and why?
MV:My mom, she believed in me and she was my Guinea pig and my muse.
TY: What, in your mind, is the secret to a "proper salon experience"?
MV: Great work, dim lights and tinted mirrors.
TY: Who's the most fabulous person you've ever had the chance to work with?
MV: Sophie Digby - absolutely fabulous!
TY: They say, the president's barber usually knows all of his secrets - do you you know many state secrets?
MV: You mean silicone boobs, botox, hair extensions and fake blondes? I can`t give you names but maybe initials?
TY: What's the best thing about your line of work?
MV: Everybody leaves happy (because we have magic mirrors).
TY: What do you most enjoy about life on Bali?
MV: Following the Balinese calendar and finding out there's not so many working days.
TY: And least?
MV: Corruption and being corrupted myself.
TY: What do you like doing to relax or get your mind off work?
MV: Eat and sex or sex and eat...whatever.
TY: What's your dream?
MV: More of the previous answer!
